Aren’t most residents of Florida retired? Oops! Maybe it should also be offered as a retiree benefit, much like a pension?
Sounds like a product in search of a need, and a relatively expensive product at that considering what needs to happen to trigger it, and the low benefit it provides. It is somewhat misleading to characterize this as homeowner’s insurance.
